Women in Construction week highlights the necessity of adding more skilled tradeswomen to the construction industry, and the Building Talent Foundation is eager to help
In order to meet growing housing demands across the U.S., the residential construction industry is actively hiring skilled laborers, and according to the Home Builders Institute’s (HBI) Construction Labor Market Report, the industry must prioritize the recruitment of tradeswomen. Through educational partnerships and individualized career services, the Building Talent Foundation (BTF) is forging a path for women in construction to add fresh talent to a more inclusive workforce.
BTF is also honoring women in residential construction during Women in Construction Week (March 6-12) and offering support for female professionals to advance their careers in every area of the building industry.
One way BTF supports women in the residential construction sector is through cross-sectoral collaborations. Recently, BTF announced a partnership with StrataTech Education Group (StrataTech), a leading skilled trade schools operator. StrataTech and BTF will leverage their partnership to attract more women to bring their talents and skills to the industry.

Through this partnership, we can make a difference in the construction industry and the lives of our students,” said Mary Kelly, President/CEO of StrataTech.
